After reading poor ratings for all that was available from Cabelas, I bought this one instead (hunting model). Works great! Quick assembly and sturdy construction. Well worth the money.

Hi Don,

I found Load-A-Pup by doing a Google search for dog ladders. What a great find! We have two yellow labs (Dwight and Sophie) who weigh 100lbs and 75 lbs respectively. Getting them in and out of our boat was a weightlifting contest before we purchased Load-A-Pup. They mastered using the ladder in one fantastic afternoon out on the water. Now, they even swim up to the ladder and rest their front paws on it when they want to take a break. Great invention! We have recommended it to other boaters up here in Michigan!

Sincerely, Dave

Hi Don.
Just thought I would say what a great product you have build.
We found your site searching on google For a way of getting our dog Bailey out of the water onto our boat, she is a yellow lab 8 years old.
I had to attach a piece of aluminum bar to the top of the bracket to hold it in place behind the single step on my boat, the platform sits just below the water line about 6 inches, perfect.
It even folds up with my step and lays flat on the swim platfom while traveling on the water
We have a 1992 19ft Bayliner Cuddy classic.
Thanks again for your "Load A up", and for you getting it sent up to Williams Lake BC Canada.
Roy, Eileen, & Bailey.

When we took the load a pup out the first time it worked OK. I did not adjust the angle to fit the angle of our ladder. Our 2 year old lab (Koloa) was able to use it but she could not sit on it. Later I adjusted the angle to match our ladder. She has mastered the load a pup and she uses it at her personal swim platform. What a great invention. It sure saves my back from having to lean out over the water to pick up 70 lbs of wet dog.

Ordered the Load a pup for my 100 pound lab. Works great. He learned how to use it right away. He enjoys laying on it in the water so much he rarely climbs up into the boat! I highly recommend this product.

I have not tried the product yet - but I'll post up a testimonial when I do. I did, however, want to take a moment to comment on the outstanding customer service that I have received as a Canadian shopper ordering this product online. There was a minor problem with shipping my order which resulted in a significant extra charge when it arrived at my door. I contacted Don Dixon here at BoatingDog.com and he had the issue promptly and completely resolved to my 100% satisfaction within minutes. I just thought that it was important to post this up to let potential customers know that they can order from here with confidence that there is excellent customer service to back up their products. I have had similar experiences when shopping online with some of the "big box" competitors and I can tell you that the outcome has not always been so favourable.

Testimonial about the product itself to follow soon...
Thanks again Don for the excellent service.
-Dave

Hey Don,
Received the Load-A-Pup today and tried it out right away - it works great - our Blue Heeler Cross worked it out in no time - much easier than dragging her into the boat by the collar!
I'll send through a couple of movies via yousendit for your site.

Hello Don,
I hope all is well. I just wanted to say thanks for such a great idea. It definitely works. With a few slight modifications we were able to adapt the load-a-pup to our 30' Rampage power boat that we use here in Rhode Island. By having the ladder it certainly saves our backs and allows for my wife and I to enjoy the water with our dog Liberty even more. Again, thanks and if we and do anything to help promote your product let me know. Attached is a video of the ladder in use and a picture of our dog. Again, thanks!

Best Regards,
Todd Roper

Here's a very short clip of Jack using his new Load-a-pup all on his own.... complete with a little Paw Five on a job well done

I gotta say... the load-a-pup is worth every penny!!!

Load-a-pup dot com, the best dog ladder out there. I've spent many of hundreds of dollars on ladders, this is the best one. It will hold an adults weight, also great for little kids to stand on.

The load a pup really works for my dog. She is a boxer mix and weighs about 60 lbs. We attached it to our pontoon ladder with no problem. It took a few times to get used to it, but she is getting in the boat on her own now. She wanted to approach it from the side and you have to train your dog to come at it from the front, but that was the only problem we had. She is very grateful and so are our backs!

Don,
Thanks for a great product, our dogs used the Load-A-Pup the first time we tried it. It is easy to use & attaches to our pontoon boat ladder fast. It really is one of the most helpful products we have purchased. Will be glad to recommend your Load-A-Pup to our friends.
